As I write the stories, I often draw or paint the characters to help me flesh them out in my mind. The pencil sketches are just random doodles of scenes from the various stories. The paintings of the characters are mixed media pieces that usually take an hour to an hour and a half to complete. The larger work, "The Future of Flesh" was an interactive audio/visual experience for an art show. It had a functioning CD player embedded in one of the side panels with eight songs composed for the painting and a booklet of illustrations that coincided with the songs. The painting is five and a half feet tall and tells of the plight of Hyclones, the clone/cyborg hybrid of the future.
